Shadowed Hearts

There is much to say for rage and the ability to think through it. The ability to master both anger and consciousness in the heat of battle is a rare and unique gift in an age and place where violence and death is a common staple. Annika is one of the last of her kind, a species of nearly extinct furies that once called the center world home. A victim of the wars that have ravaged this domain for centuries, she’s a prisoner of the Delchat, the nomadic zombie or goblin like race whose mission in life is to rape, murder and feed upon all those in their path. They are a species which hell itself fears.

However, this isn’t hell. It’s the center world and the Hellhounds stand between the Delchat and the destruction of one of the few places of beauty left. Hunter and Sage are co-alphas of a pack of strong Hellhounds. The pair knows little of fear when it comes to protecting those belonging to them and they have their hearts set on Annika joining their ranks. Their biggest challenge may not be the Delchat, but the shadows preventing the fury from believing she’s worthy of such love.
