The Galloping Cow

This is a story within a story within a story within a story. It involves two youths living in the Midwest in 1964 who find a way to become more than just two independent youths and become, in time, interdependent. Interdependence was a function of the independent, where each was his and her own person then found the other. What resulted was to consolidate their efforts on a fiction story for a class in their school, which became a story within a story. This project guided their growing relationship which seemed to be founded on their mutual agreement to share with each other. Since both were born in 1950, they were 14 at the time.
This story involves a young boy and a young girl, as it should, and it progresses through their future years as well. What began as an assignment in school, became a story; a story that became a story of their lives, founded on their romance. The boy was named Freddy, and the girl was named Noreen. Freddy had lived his whole life to date in Biffenburg, and Noreen was a recent arrival.
