Enter the mystical world of Dann, the Druid. In ancient times, and perhaps today, the world was watched over and educated by a group known as the Druids. Some say that they were heathens who drank human blood, some say they were wise men, highly placed in their local societies and some question if they actually ever existed. Dann would tell you to believe as you must, and continue walking. He knew the Path of Life and its tremors and difficulties and the ability to see clearly while on the path, moving backward or forward.
Dann has no "book" to follow. His existence and beliefs are held in 300 poems which are passed orally from elder to younger. Each Druid probably added a few poems of his own; Dann certainly did. No one lives forever and the elder Druids step from the path of life to comfortably pass on to whatever reward they believed waited for them, or did they? Was it possibly to move backward on the Path and grow younger, to actually in some ways go through rebirth. This allegorical little story looks at war from a very different view, neither positive nor negative, but as a way of spreading the seeds of humanity and combining the traits of various human groups to develop new traits. And since war is still a part of the human existence, unfortunately, the Druids may still be operating among us....still walking back and forth on the Path of Life.
