Smiling in the Storm: 20 Moving Stories of AIDS Patients who Defied the Disease

The AIDS victims themselves told these intriguing stories when they decided to go public. Their message communicates two very important secrets of living positively with AIDS, namely, the power of faith in God, through Jesus Christ and the benefit that an AIDS patient gets from belonging to a post HIV/AIDS-test club or organization.

The stories are brought to the world to give people a glance at Uganda as the center of battle against AIDS as it raged at the emergence of the disease in Africa. The openness of the country about the disease right from the beginning must be seen as the environment which partly encouraged the authors to go public.
