MERATHON is a metaphor. Part memoire, part social psychology, part science fiction, MERATHON explores the causes and impact of the December 2001 collapse of ENRON, the once-powerful Fortune 7 energy and commodities-trading corporation based in Houston, Texas. MERATHON runs through unemployment and the grief cycle, leadership, and the philosophies of Quality – with marathons and ultra-marathons as both metaphor and therapy. The LASER as metaphor takes the stage in the quest for quality team members who are focused: intense, coherent, high-energy and all on the same wavelength.
