Crooked Miles, Woven World

Touched by magical realism, these stories tell of the crooked miles each person walks, miles that nonetheless weave themselves into the fabric of community. The setting is in and around Duluth, MN on the shore of Lake Superior. Here a college student is haunted by a ghostly embodiment of his own vanity and ambitions, two crows narrate the burial of a soldier sent home from Afghanistan in a coffin, and descendents of the Argonauts of Greek mythology teach a young man about greed, racism, and the abuse of power. It's the real world seen through magical lenses.
