There was always something eccentric about the two Kray brothers since their birth. Running in their veins was Irish, Jewish and Romany blood. With Reginald "Reggie" Kray entering the world ten minutes earlier than his twin brother, Ronald "Ronnie" Kray, who knew the twins would grow up to become, perhaps, the most notorious figures of Britain?
Living in a ghetto, the boys were surrounded by gambling dens, seedy pubs, billiard halls and brothels. The place was filled with drunken people and boxing fanatics. With a high unemployment level of the place, the crime rates were shooting through the roof. The area was hit by a bomb during the World War. It was the poorest area of the East End and a nest for criminals.
The twins always remained inseparable, even though, they had fights. One time Ron suffered a severe head injury during a fight with his brother, back in 1942. Still, it never allowed a third party to come in between them.
