Naomi's Nursery

Naomi’s Nursery is a 23,000 word novella about one young woman who pushes herself too hard and needs a special kind of attention. Even in school, she worked hard so she could skip grades and take too many classes. Now all of that stress has caught up with her.

After Naomi graduates, she can’t find a job, so she must rely on her boyfriend, Anthony, more and more. Even so, she really wants to find work, but the stress of searching pushes her to the edge until she breaks down and throws a tantrum. She cries. She screams. She makes it clear to her boyfriend that she isn’t ready to be an adult.

The alternative? Diapers. Bottles. A crib. Anthony decides she needs all of these things and so much more.

Anthony knows Naomi better than she knows herself. He understands that she needs to take a break, so he’ll treat her like a sweet little girl. If she resists, he’ll spank her. It’s just that simple. When she behaves herself, he will cuddle her and make her feel really good. When Anthony is away at work, he insists his baby girl play house. She’ll have to get dressed up in cute maid costumes and clean his house when he’s away.

Naomi will try to cling to her adulthood, but the days will pass and she’ll feel herself start to relax into this new life. As a toddler, it will be so easy to nap and sleep in her crib, to play with toys and be a good little girl. How long until she gets used to the rubber spoons and thick diaper bulge between her legs? How long will it take before she gets used to crawling along the floor? If she isn’t careful, she might start to like this. Then it’ll be all over.
