HOW EMMY CAME TO WRITE HER BOOK
Emmy loves to read, learn, understand and write books. After hearing Bible stories from church, home and grandparents, she sat down one day (at five years old) and illustrated her book about King Nebuchadnezzar. All four large illustrations are her original God-given perceptions of the story. The ramparts of Babylon (complete with flags flying behind Nebuchadnezzar) were her own and dictated the tone of further designs found throughout her book.
Additional “brainstorming” with family brought about other graphics used to help readers place the story in the time of Daniel and Nebuchadnezzar’s Babylon.
Emmy’s illustrations led next to the story lines (as she understood and paraphrased them from Scripture) which were the next component of her book. Initially, she hand printed all the story but in the process of printing, it was converted to type.
Emerson Ann (given name) is the eager big sister and “teacher” to younger brother Luke (5 in 2012) and Abigail (4 years old). Emmy will be 8 years old in July, 2012. They live with parents Paul and Lisa in Fort Worth, Texas.
