The Punishment of Philly Alvarez

Philly flees from the abuse of his dysfunctional childhood home. Blaming himself for the sin of molest, he fears dreadful punishment and wanders to various experiences--life on the streets as a runaway, childrens' shelter, juvenile hall, and eventually prison. Through it all he never relinquishes an unlikely hobby, throwing a baseball at a target. Designed only to relieve his churning emotions, the fetish achieves much more, a chance at the major leagues.
