How the Welfare State Is a Bane to Public Education & Civil Society

The author's level of concern with regard to the destructive potential of the Welfare State was dramatically heightened while having a conversation with a student whose family had become totally dependent upon it, regardless of the fact that all members were able-bodied and capable of their own support. This dialogue with the student is revealed in this short essay.
