The ancient city of Ishtahar has stood as a testament to man's devotion to himself and his god for one thousand years. For this prosperity, the people chose to venerate the sun, the one symbol that has always been greater than Ishtahar, and just as constant.
Life is as it has ever been within the city. A normal day for the city watch, men like the young Gar or the experienced Duga. That is, until the ultimate enemy of the sun arrives, that onto which no light may truly shine. On the fateful day that an army of unstoppable shadow men arrive and threaten all life within the city, the faith of those within will be destroyed or strengthened, as they attempt to survive to see the next dawn.
