Walmart, Jesus and You: Discovering the Gospel in Everyday Living

Throughout the Bible, we find stories of everyday people traveling down life's highway and during their journey, the wonderful gospel is presented. Today is no different. Within this book, a trip to Walmart, a car wreck caused by a buzzard, children, a pile of junk, getting lost on vacation, ordering a hamburger, frustration with computers, a mother's love for her child, memories, a favorite relative, a physical injury, a western movie, electronics, parents, accounting and personal trials will allow you to see the gospel in some true, personal events in the life of the author. As you identify with many of the experiences that begin each chapter, you will then read what Jesus and additional scriptures have to say about the experiences. Each chapter has a different topic. For instance, when Jesus' teachings about plans are laid alongside a trip to Walmart, it helps us to understand why plans are changed and how to apply the biblical principle concerning the change of plans to our lives. With each chapter, you will begin to learn how the gospel is found in everyday living and begin to read the Bible for direction in and understanding of your own life.
