A Gun and a Deadline is a short story that was the result of a challenge. A friend challenged me to write a short story in one week and gave me the title as a starting point.
Two college students are kidnapped from the parking lot of the college they attend. They are tied up and beaten. They have until 9pm (24 hours after kidnapping) to give the kidnappers what they want or they will be shot.
