Morgan Tannunbum just cannot catch a break.
Take her family. Her mom is gorgeous. Like, former-Victoria’s Secret-Angel gorgeous. So is her older sister –but in a more young-Hollywood kind of way. Her father is not, but he has enough writing and directing talent to keep the whole family living large in an L.A. suburb. And then there’s 16-year-old Morgan, who managed to miss all the good alleles in the gene pool.
As the only non-famous in the family, Morgan is often forgotten by both People the magazine and people in general. But someone seems determined to push this self-described “Permanent Background Fixture” uncomfortably close to the spotlight –but not on her terms. Morgan’s diary in the form of a screenplay has been stolen from her laptop.
And sent to her dad.
Whoops.
As if her M.I.A. tell-all is not stressful enough for Morgan, her father loves the script. And wants to make it a movie. And he’s planned an all-out manhunt to find the author to secure the rights.
Cue the private investigators. (And the swearing.)
Scrambled Eggs is the coming-of-age story of a teenager caught in the ultimate truth –that she kinda wrote a movie about her family. And it’s kinda good. And it’s kinda going to get her disowned if she doesn’t do something about it –fast.
10% of the proceeds from the sale of this book go to support the Juvenille Diabetes Research Foundation.
Publisher’s Note: Please note that although JDRF is receiving funds from the sale of this work, diabetes appears nowhere in the novel.
