Bandersnatch

Bandersnatch (an imaginary wild animal of fierce disposition) is a fiction crime novel about hunters, revenge and broken moral compasses. It is a story of three compulsive pursuers, all tracking different prey, yet inexorably destined to cross each other’s path.
When Frank Fredo’s castrated body is found in the abandoned Detroit Central Train Station, shot in the head by three different shooters, Mickey Cece calls on Jack Apps to help find Frank’s assassins. Jack, the protagonist, is a retired homicide detective with his own demons.
As Jack and Mickey dig deeper into the murder, they discover Frank’s dark side. While his adoring wife believes he was the perfect husband, his girlfriend thought he was frightening. After finding out that Frank was engaged in Detroit’s drug trade, Jack and Mickey clash with Frank’s supplier, Mario McGuiness - a genius who is as insane as he is brilliant. Mickey and McGuiness, however, do share a mutual passion: they want to kill each other.
Meanwhile, across town, the four Anger brothers are hunting for the Detroit River Serial Killer, the necrophiliac who abducted their youngest sister. The Angers are a highly religious, yet criminally corrupt family consumed with seeking vengeance.
The Detroit River Serial Killer is a sociopathic and psychotic killing machine who stalks his prey with unmerciful focus. Like Ted Bundy and Gary Ridgway, he exists for two reasons: to possess his victims and remain free to feed his addiction.
Bandersnatch is filled with colorful and memorable characters: Dominic Cece, Mickey’s father and ubiquitous puppet master of organized crime; Mattie Perry, Jack’s new lease on life; Sluggo, Mickey’s personal protection; and Am Bu Lance, McGuiness’ favored henchman.
This triad of hunters’ stories weaves a fascinating tapestry of loyalty, obsession, retribution and redemption.
