Fighting Leukemia and Winning

I had faced challenges before, but nothing like this. Long distance runs in 26º weather, 500-mile motorcycle rides…they seemed like a walk in the park, compared to the emotional and physical challenge I had before me.

Everyone says, “how could this happen to me?” Suddenly, I had no control of my work, my family, my future, my fate. I was entering into a long journey into the unknown.

What in the world am I talking about? I’m talking about what thousand—maybe millions—have to go through at some point in their lives; what it takes to survive cancer.
