Memo to The Hip Hop Community

“What a great, significant, and much needed book! For many years, we in the National Congress of Black Women, Inc. have tried to get the message out to our brothers and sisters who allow themselves to be lowered to do gangsta rap and to take other action that hurts all of us. Yes, gangsta rap, saggin pants, loud and vulgar talk may please the doer, but ultimately it sets all of us back. More of us need to push back against the rappers. To counter their destructive behavior, more of us need to mentor young people, provide them with options, and help them understand what it takes to succeed and to serve people in a positive way.”
