Melancholy Black is a dark, gripping and compelling story that was inspired by the often under reported truth about neglected, sexually abused children in the United States. Equally devastating is the effect that such abuse would have on an individual should they carry those scars with them throughout the rest of their life never knowing true love. Melancholy Black follows the life of one such child, beginning at the age of ten. It documents ones slide into darkness and clearly depicts the emotional pain as everyone in Cassandra's life uses her for their own gain, while continuously creating stumbling blocks in her path as she fights the demons within herself.
