She soon discovers, after healing her savior, that she is the last true Hedge Witch, the last Haegtesse. She is the only witch left with the ability to meld plant and animal life, to heal what is broken, to create new life. And everyone wants a piece of her.

But what is a girl to do when she not only becomes the target of every nightmarish creature imaginable but has to deal with a fire witch who makes her blood run hot, harness her new powers ASAP and learn about a destiny that sounds like it came out of Louis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland?
