Slingshot

Rody Salley yearns to be a major league baseball player. He plays in the textile leagues of South Carolina, but, as he gains success, he discovers that his dream of being a major leaguer holds many conflicts for him. He tries to bring the black and white communities together using America's favorite pasttime, but it brings him a great deal of antipathy from the community.
