Jules St. Croix is returning home after four years as an Alliance Prisoner of War. The Orion System is now unified under Alliance Rule. As the last surviving member of the Five Ruling Houses of Tyrr he is elevated to the status of Hegemonos, King of the Omari People. It is a task he doesn't want but can't escape until New Ruling Houses can be elevated so that he can step down. He has a dying world to save. The remnant of his people are scattered throughout the Orion system and he has to gather them together once again.
