Lynx to a Killing

Ecoterrorists invade the hills outside Trinidad, Colorado to protest the hunting season. Randy Waters, the local game warden helps keep track of the intruders and tries to keep the peace. Most hunters leave in disgust and complain loudly as they go, but a few stay on and try to find a way to continue their hunt away from the demonstrations. A man and woman in the group decide to stay on after the demonstrations and camp out in the woods. The young woman is a privileged girl from Colorado Springs and thinks the whole thing is just a lark and a rebellion against her high class. Things turn ugly when a hunter takes offense as the two interrupt his shot of a lifetime at a bull elk.
Randy Waters leads the hunt for the two fugitives across the rugged landscape during a brief, heavy snowstorm. Eventually he locates the two just as they shoot down a pursuing helicopter. Randy is up to his neck in problems as he struggles to bring the two to justice.
