Deep-Fried Classified

Drake and his mother don't have much, but they have an extravagant home--a mansion, if you want to call it that--which they acquired through mysterious circumstances when Drake was a first grader. Now faced with the prospect of losing the home, the teenaged Drake leaves his hometown of Mountain Brook, Alabama and travels to New Orleans to earn enough money to pay his mother's debts. In the Crescent City, Drake encounters a family of killers, a swamp hermit and his beautiful daughter, and a power-hungry entity that will stop at nothing to ensure Drake's full cooperation. As the mystery of his own past begins to unravel, Drake discovers that a secret ability that was once his family's trump card has now made him a target in a deadly game in which he stands to lose the home, his job, and perhaps ... his life. The result--a high-octane adventure packed with frantic twists, tragic turns, and a lesson on what it means to keep one's word.
