No, IN PERIL would be a better way to describe Blackbeard’s situation, and it will take his son, Wesley Teach, to save him. Only, how does a 14 year-old rescue the most dreadful pirate of his time? Wesley needs help, but sometimes help requires an agreement—a promise between two people. “You do this for me, and I’ll save your father.” That sort of thing. But, Wesley’s agreement isn’t with a person; it involves the mythological god—Kronos. And from there, the next 6 nights turn extraordinarily complicated.
The Lighthouse of Alexandria describes the time travel adventure of Wesley Teach and his quest for a scythe fragment that will save Wesley's father and return the world to the Golden Age--a period void of war and death. Only the scythe will restore Kronos to his supremacy over the gods and end the violent battle in which Blackbeard is entangled.
Thus, Wesley abandons the pirate life of early 18th century and journeys 2000 years to ancient Alexandria, Egypt. Once there, he must use skills akin to his father's pirating ways to reach the lighthouse and claim the scythe fragment. Aided by a stew of unlikely companions and the ability to wield weapons in their most potent form, Wesley confronts sea people and deadly creatures loyal to Kronos' son, Poseidon. But can he fulfill the quest without becoming what he so horribly detests in his father—a murderer?
