The Heart of Texas

Most of these essays came about as a result of research reading, and writing my of my historical novels set in Texas. These essays might be viewed then, as a sort of extended historical footnote to the novels. As they were originally separate posts and written over a period of years, information is sometimes repeated from one to another. This is not a continuous narrative, but rather meant to be read in small bites
