Goblin Fern

Zandra’s move to Floodwood near the start of a new school year results in more changes than she anticipates. Not only does she meet Aello, Gordon and Peter, but Aello seems to know more about Zandra’s Dad than she does. As Zandra is just getting to know her new friends and beginning to find her way around Floodwood, she is taken by a mysterious kidnapper. In their search for her, Aello, Gordon and Peter follow the kidnapper’s trail to Caffa, a medieval land filled with magic and mystery. Getting Zandra back requires not only that the three learn more about Floodwood and Caffa, but also about themselves.

Two parallel worlds, with only limited activity between them, are starting to have increasingly interesting interactions. One world is exactly like our own, at least as far as you know without venturing in. The other a pre-Renaissance realm of humans, djinn and who knows what else. Drawing upon the rich diversity of world folklore and legend, there is always room for one more fantastic character in the world of Goblin Fern.
