Dumped on by the popular girls in sixth grade, Frances Reed contends with three dogs chasing her within an inch of her life. Fran learns appearances can deceive and she has more control than she thinks over what happens to her. She eventually works things out with the bullies, learning that you don’t have to like someone to get along.
