Oscar and Venus

Few things excited Oscar like a clear night with Venus in the western sky. Oscar read his star charts like political junkies read newspapers.

One Saturday evening in autumn his tidy and organised world started to shift. He was on the balcony in shorts and a t-shirt, setting up his refractor and connecting the camera to the computer. It had been a warm day and he noticed the difference in temperature as his feet stepped from sunshine into shadow on his tiled balcony. He heard a yell of delight and female laughter.

Venus is Oscar's passion. No-one is more surprised than Oscar when Venus leads him back to love.
