One particula purpose of the book ("How To Jail") is to teach 1st time offenders the survival skills of incarceration. These skills aren't being taught in advance anyplace else, but here within this publication. Entering into jail or prison without being properly advised (believe it or not) of the inmates social norms, is akin to trying to live among a group of cannibals and you're a vegetarian.
