After spending time together on the cruise, saying their goodbyes in New York, she later flies to his stately mansion in Suffolk, England, where she discovers his extraordinary wealth. Not only does Lillian learn that Winston’s housekeeper has disappeared mysteriously, he also has a disturbed brother who is a member of the underworld. Glorious romantic novel with lots of twists and turns. Surprising ending. Very descriptive, I could picture each scene in my mind's eye and would love to see it made into a movie. Lillian was such a strong capable woman - someone to admire and respect. Interesting combination of characters and story lines throughout the book - keeps your attention - you don't want to put the book down. A must read!
