This is the tale of Marjan, an exiled wizard living alone in the Allyssian forest, who is one day called upon to rescue seven young children and their teacher from a pack of dire wolves.
Saving them is merely the begining as he must then escort them to safety in the southern lands, battling armies of dire beasts and giant spiders, before making a new life for himself among the elves.
