A Scottish saga about the 15th Century mansion called "Strathalmond" and those connected with it from 1430 - 1460 and from 1912 - 1972. It tells of Strathalmond Oil Company in the town of Myrestane, the Ingrams who ran it and the Douglases and others who worked for it. It is the story of two families in differenmt eras, of love and war, bigotry and envy, trgedy and hope in heir cahnging worlds.
