Zappos in Las Vegas led by Tony Hsieh has begun to welcome tech industries to the city. Hsieh threw the Halloween Parade, invested in First Friday, and rejuvenated the economy in Vegas. I remember when Oscar Goodman, the Mayor of Las Vegas threw his arms in the air as he danced with Zappos executives in baby blue t-shirts after they moved their headquarters to the redeveloped City Hall building.
