Her father died in the Korean War. She and her family lived on his army pension. Her mother held the family together with love but when she dies, an alcoholic uncle arrives to claim the children. He inflicts cruelty on them and manipulates the community in believing the children are the cause of his misfortune. Can one survive such a life and not herself turn into an alcoholic?
