Easy Money

Mr. Sheffner works hard all his life and lives frugally. He counts each pension check and stashes the cash under a loose floorboard. When a home invader tells the old man to give up his money or his life, Mr. Sheffner hesitates one moment too long. Greed leads to murder, and nothing comes easy. Baldino turns storytelling upside down and tells this short story from the viewpoint of the motive.
