Battling along the walls of the besieged city of Hanbare alongside its soldiers, the warrior Fendreg of Senagra, leads a desperate standoff with the supernatural and mortal armies of Argrell, the witch-king of Devenar. Pushed to the limits when the city fall, Fendreg makes his way to the camps of the witch-king with one purpose in mind: the end his abominable reign.
