It's like this, you see. Gordon Thelb is a pal of mine. We helped each other out in a mixup on Mezzic a while back and I worked with his uncle a bit before that. Thelb is a standup kid, up and coming space ranger captain, but he's fallen head over heels for some skirt. Apparently a pretty rich skirt, who doesn't appear to do any honest work. Now he's asking me to come out and check up on her, make sure he isn't getting played. Not my normal line, snooping around some broad's life, but hey! A friend's a friend, right?
