River Demon (Daughters of Amaterasu)

In 1274, the Emperor and Empress of Japan are afflicted by a mysterious illness. In an effort to appease the great Sun Goddess, two teenage princesses are sent on a pilgrimage. They find themselves in a dark world crawling with evil spirits and strange creatures ready to devour them.

Written in a lyrical style of the time, where ancient legends and folk tales from 13th century Japan come alive.
