They Would Not Love My Lamb

This fictional story is actually an allegory. The author tells this tale while at the same time retells and sheds new light on an old, familiar story. Two boys find a lamb and take it to their mother then to their step father. But the boy's intentions are not good, and the parents play along to try to please them.
