Jack Reed, disgraced reporter, investigates the fantastic claims of one James Meagher, sole survivor of a 1938 expedition to find the Lizard People of the Amazon. Meagher says the tribe is made up of evolved dinosaurs who held him captive and used him for breeding. Jack's quest takes him into the Amazon, where he is pursued by a dangerous fundamentalist group that plans to silence the truth.
