Lilly’s anti-war activities cause trouble and create conflict with her husband, Walter; her job, and her friends. As the United States’ involvement in WWII deepens and its buildup to war quickens, traditional married life eludes Lilly. When the Japanese attack US bases in the Pacific, the United States declares war on Japan. For Walter and Lilly, everything changes again.
