‘Dawn – at eventide’ is set during the First World War and tells the supernatural tale of two soldiers who stumble upon a legend which concerns a knight of the Middle Ages who falls in love with a peasant girl. The ruling aristocracy take umbrage and the knight disappears. The girl awaits his return through the ensuing centuries. One of the soldiers discovers that he is the knight returned.
