In this close neighborhood friends help out friends. When Bill gets a promotion in the middle of the school year he ask his divorced friend, Ted, who lives alone to allow his daughter, Brittney, to stay and finish out her school year. Little does he know that Brittney worked him to allow her to stay for reasons more than just finishing her school year.
