Walking Through The Pain is based on a true story of a baby given up for adoption in Barbados by parents who think it has a better chance of surviving in a middle class family. His adopted father whom he grows to love very much dies when he is eight. After ten months, adverse circumstances force his adopted mother to sell up and downgrade to a much smaller shop far away from his friends.
