It's the summer of 1985, and ten-year-old Jeremy Roberts has made some new friends recently: Bill and Nora Hathaway, a pleasant middle-aged couple who live in a big house by a lake. But the Hathaways are far more than they seem. Very soon they will be embarking on a voyage into the infinite...and they will ask Jeremy to come with them.
