Hill O'Keefe, and ex-Marine, used to be an old man. But gravely injured and taken from his home while comatose, he awakens to find himself rejuvenated and in the care of mysterious human outworlders. He soon discovers that he has landed in the midst of a galactic war where he may hold the key to victory or defeat. However, both sides revile him, so there is a tough road ahead for O'Keefe.
