Chutney Yamato is a 22-year old Japanese-American girl ready to leave everything she knows behind in Hawaii for an adventure abroad in the land of the rising sweet potato, Okinawa. However, things don't go exactly as planned and Chutney worries that the only roots she'll find will be the ones in her hair.
