After inheriting the mansion Willowbrook from his estranged father, washed out artist Ben Hancock's bad luck all but disappears. But the house has a violent history and he begins to see images of that gruesome past. He sees the ghosts of children that once played in Willowbrook’s halls. Are these images and specters telling him of his past or is it a warning of things to come?
