Myra's Garden

This is the story of Daniel and Myra Phieffer. Theirs was a romance that lasted half a century. It was a world on the verge of tumultuous changes. Through the hard times of the Great Depression and a global war, they were thrust into a different world that neither of them fully understood. Born into a simpler time, they never expected what fate had in store. Through it all, they loved, laughed and raised a large family despite the hardships.
Though it seemed their world was rapidly spinning out of control, there were a few constants in their lives. The deep abiding love they had for each other was one; Myra's precious peonies were another. The flowers were more than blooms, they were a symbol of the love her parents shared, and became a symbol of the love she and Daniel shared too. Eventually, the beloved flowers became a symbol of hope to another generation.
Myra's world no longer exists, but her legacy of love lives on.
